Hatha (Level 1-2) provides a fundamental introduction to yoga. Students will practice basic techniques of pranayama (breath work), asana (physical movement) and meditation (mind work). The foundations of the asana practice are created while exploring opportunities to take your yoga practice to the next level.
Join us for this therapeutic-style class. We will focus on posture and alignment to prepare for variations of seated meditation. We will explore pranayama techniques intended to energize the mind and body. The class involves gentle movements of the arms, the legs and torso for maintaining strong bones and muscle strength.
Renew & Restore
Restorative yoga is a form of yoga that seeks to achieve physical, mental and emotional relaxation with the aid of props. The use of props makes it easier for you to maintain balance while you are stimulating and relaxing your body. While some restorative yoga poses are beneficial to the entire body, others target specific parts of the body, such as the heart or the lungs.
You don’t need to be flexible to benefit from the quiet stillness of Yin Yoga. Composed of a series of slow and relaxing floor poses, this practice focuses on gently stretching the connective tissue around the hips, pelvis, and lower spine. The result is less tension in the body, enhanced range of motion and a quieter mind.
