Relax with a Swedish-style massage that begins with broad general strokes and then transitions to specific strokes to address problem areas. Great for full-body muscle relaxation.
Deep Tissue Massage
A focused, therapeutic massage that targets adhesions and specific problem areas in the deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue. Using deliberate, slow strokes or friction across the grain of the muscle, the therapist addresses chronic tight or painful muscles, repetitive strain, postural problems, or injuries.
Designed to prevent and treat injuries. The idea behind sports massage is to manipulate the body’s soft tissues, and focus on certain muscle groups depending on which sport the athlete plays. This type of massage can help with increased blood flow, increased range of motion, and increased flexibility.
A gentle treatment to help ease tension and stress, and support the body to facilitate an environment for healing on all levels – physical, mental, and emotional. Reiki is administered by the hands, placed lightly on or near the body of the client. As the healing energy flows, the client may then experience feelings of relaxation, mental clarity, pain relief, decreased anxiety, and a sense of well-being. Research has shown that this occurs because the activity of parasympathetic autonomic nervous system in the patient increases significantly.
A safe and very effective hands-on technique that involves applying gentle sustained pressure into the myofascial connective tissue restrictions to eliminate pain and restore motion. Fascia is the key in the support, structure, and mobility of the body. It forms a continuous web starting just under the skin and surrounding every part of the body. When an adhesion forms in the fascia due to surgery, injury, trauma, chronic pain, or imperfect posture it “locks-down” to protect that area, and in so doing, can lead to localized pain and restricted range of motion. Myofascial Release, because it releases muscle tension and works to restore the optimum alignment of the body, has been shown to offer long-lasting results for pain relief and improved sense of over-all wellbeing.
